‘Moving Into the Cloud’: The benefits of Cloud Computing

August 10th, 2010

Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand.
Cloud computing represents a major change in how we store information and run applications. Instead of hosting apps and data on an individual desktop computer, everything is hosted in the “cloud”—an assemblage of computers and servers accessed via the Internet. Users can access applications via a browser, while the applications as well as the data are installed and stored on a server.

Twitter – should you use it for your business?

June 17th, 2010

Yes if you know how. No if you don’t.

Twitter as you probably know by now is a short message service for the web. Its like a small broadcasting station on the netscape that allows you to blow out little pithy messages that could make a lot of sense, but are usually garbled by strange symbols and odd collections of letters, numbers, dashes and slashes. However, used in its simplest form – as a short messaging service – it can be a powerful marketing tool. I am assuming here that you at least have created a twitter account and know how to send out an occasional message.

So what do you do need to use it for business?
